I just rented this movie after a recommendation from a friend. It was SO good- i am not usually one for french films, but this one was great. It is a tragic romance between a French plantation owner in Vietnam, her adopted Vietnamese daughter and a French navy officer. My hubby was asleep in thirty minutes but I am about to watch it for the second time.
