This movie made us uncomfortable, but in a good way. It is a series of storylines that cover a 24-hour period in Los Angeles. Each of the stories deals with racial stereotypes, prejudices, and tensions. In this era of political correctness, it was really interesting to see some of these issues brought out into the open in this way. Like I said, a lot of it just made me uncomfortable, but in a way that made me examine and think about my reaction to what was happening/being said. We both really liked it, although it's not exactly a feel-good, pick-me-up kind of film.

We watched that one this weekend. I liked it a lot; I don't remember the last time a movie kept me literally on the edge of my seat! Not to mention yelling at the screen.

I especially loved Ludacris' character's perception of riding the bus, and how he was forced to confront his bias.

This movie is one of the most thought-provoking movies that I've seen in awhile. It's impossible to watch it without looking inward towards your own racial biases. I highly recommend it!

Really difficult to watch, but should be watched. I was disgusted by so much of the behavior, and then kept finding myself disappointed by the revolting behavior of those we originally thought were victims (especially the "china-man" they hit and what he turned out to be).

Glad I took the time. Usually I wimp out on the films that are described as "thought-provoking".

I loved it too. I do a lot of theatre for social change with young people and I bought a copy of the movie to use as a jumping off point.

It is so eloquent about race being a messy thing, as messy as our humanity and identity. It isn't static. But engaging in examination and interrogation will move us toward greater understanding.

My husband and I saw this movie together a while ago. I felt all sorts of emotions. It was very thought provoking. I think that it is a must see.
