  • Good Night and Good Luck

I actually saw a movie with my DH. Wonders never cease this year.

Good movie but I am glad I paid a matinee price since there really is no reason to see it on the big screen. I will save my 9.00 for Harry Potter 4 and Narnia. This is a GREAT matinee or rental in my opinion.

I loved how it was filmed. It made me think I was really there -- a fly on the wall if you will. The acting was excellent. I wish there was a bit of a wrap up -- what happened to Murrow and the rest of his crew.

I think if you are a baby boomer and remember this time in history you will really LOVE it because it's so real.

I give it a thumbs up.

We saw it this weekend and were both a bit tepid on it. I really thought it would be a lot more interesting and have more about the dynamics of McCarthyism and the interplay of news and politics etc. I left thinking that it made just an okay movie but the subject matter could make a great episode of The American Experience on PBS--shoulda been a documentary.

Yeah, I don't disagree with your analysis. I think it will be used a lot in high school classrooms!!!

I really WANTED to like the movie so maybe that's where I am more positive than I ordinarily would be.

I hear you on the documentary comparison!

I really enjoyed it - I thought it was well done. I expected it to be more about Murrow and his POV and since it was, I wasn't disappointed.
