No, you're not getting old. Movies haven't always been this bad. I remember being excited about a movie months before it came out. Now, I just glance at the titles and nothing jumps out at me. I recently went to see The Da Vinci Code and it was well below my expectations. Oh well, I guess I'll stick to renting from Netflix rather than paying big bucks to see a mediocre movie in the theater.

I'm not the person to be responding as I don't go to the movies often, but I did go see Thank YOu For Smoking recently and loved it. I'm not sure if I ever got around to posting a review for it--I'll have to check. The only other movies I've seen in the theatre are kid movies, and I'll that isn't what you and your dh had in mind!
