Really, really funny. So many people in the audience were laughing out loud - adults & kids. It really spoke to the "suburbinazation" of the wilderness - which struck a chord with me b/c I'm so conflicted about my recent embrace of suburbia. The woodland creatures awake from their hibranation to find a "scary thing" (huge subdivision-framing hedge) and that 1/2 of their forest is gone. A raccoon from the nearby park leads the woodland creatures into & out of the suburbs to collect food he owes a bear, hilarity ensues, yada, yada, yada ...
It strikes me that this is the first year there will be actual competition for the "best animated feature" oscar. Usually it's a blowout, but so far we've got Curious George & Over the Hedge, with Cars opening in a couple weeks - from Pixar, it's bound to be good. There has been other animated stuff this year, but these are the tops IMO.
