Really? I've read nothing but bad reviews! We wanted to see it but have been scared away. Have you read the reviews? What's you take on them? I'm surprised that so many reviewers slammed it if it's decent - usually they go easy on kid stuff. Maybe they just want Pixar to strike out for once.

Bad reviews? Really? We saw it and I think it is a fabulous movie. It is totally kid appropriate. The characters are darling, the message is wholesome, the animation is pixarperfect. Ds enjoyed it, but thought it was too long so we left about 2/3 of the way through. I liked what I saw. It was our first family movie.

That's good to hear. DH was v. excited to see it. He's a car nut and a family guy, of course. We nixed it after hearing it was bad. Now, I'll put it back in our plans.

I agree w/Tara & Janet. We saw it, the boys loved it. The animation was fab, as always. The story is touching & a good lesson. It wasn't my favorite of all Pixar movies - but a lot better than a lot of the junk put out these days.

Even sub-par Pixar is better than most stuff.

We saw it today, and it was actually the second time for my youngest two to see it (gma and gpa were in town and took them last week). They didn't mind seeing it twice, and those of us seeing it for the first time enjoyed it very much!
