SUCH a cute movie! We all loved it and laughed out loud several times. It has a strong environmental message, but it is well-integrated into the story line and not too in your face, imo. Robin Williams voices a couple of the characters and keeps himself under control instead of being over the top like he is usually (although either way, I always think he is funny.)
There are a couple of scary scenes and close calls, but no blood and no characters die, and it has the all-important happy ending.

We just saw this last weekend. We LOVED it! Nicole Kidman's voice got on my nerves but everything else was great.
All of the kids in the audience were dancing along - so cute!

    My favorite lines:
    "You did everything penguinly possible."
"Man this guy is so accidentally cool!"

What age would you say would be best for this movie??

I have a BTDT two year old and a "cautious" four year old.

      Any thoughts?

There are a couple of scary parts in the movie when a seal (?) chases the penguins, and where some machinery threatens the penguins, both followed quickly by comic relief. The themes of the movie are really fairly mature (for a kid's movie, I mean). There's parental guilt/responsibility, fitting in, finding your "special" someone, and of course the environmental theme. The dancing parts are really cute, but they don't make up the majority of the movie. Hope that helps!
