  • Top five favorite songs

So- what are your top five songs- the SONG- the artist may be secondary. These are the songs that you will go to no matter what. They are never annoying to you.

    Here are mine:

    1) Angel from Montgomery. There is vigorous debate in our house as to which version is the best: Carly Simon vs. Bonnie Raitt vs. Susan Tedeschi

    2) Backstreets- Springsteen

    3) Rhapsody in Blue- played by Gershwin himself. got it off itunes and it's amazing.

    4) The Washington Post March- John Philips Sousa-a standard on the 4th of July

    5) Noting Compares to 2 U- Sinead O'Connor. Stick a fork in me- I'm done.

    Jenn

ETS: my grandmother skipped school to go see George Gershwin- how cool is that?

This is really, really, really hard!

Norah Jones - Come Away With Me.

The Police - Every Breath You Take.

Natalie Imbruglia - Torn (The mime, it's all about the mime).
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2EfWYGvJTk

Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).

Enrique Iglesias - Bailamos (Such a great samba, and I miss dance).

If you asked me on a different day, my list would absolutely change.

p.s. Even Alexia knows many of the actions of the Torn mime. I think I have probably watched it 200 times.
Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

Get an extra ticket for me -- I'll go!

I used to babysit for a family who loved to listen to SRV. I had all but forgotten about it. I like his music and it reminds me of the time I spent with them. Nostalgia warning...I just saw them and their 22 year old son who I started watching when he was just a few months older than TenE.

Under Pressure should be nominated as the Official iMSN song, don't you think?

The Dance is one of the only country songs I've ever heard that I absolutely adore!

                          Hmmmm.... This IS hard.

                          1) The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel (well, any of their greatest hits, really) - so gritty and so melancholy - I know the lyrics by heart.

                          2) Stop! by Erasure (remix is best - it really picks up my mood and is such a dancing song - well, it is if you grew up during the techno days)

                          3) TIme After Time by Cindy Lauper - it's cheesy but I loved it as a teen and still do.

                          4) Pride by U2 Simply haunting. Another one that I know the lyrics by heart.

                          5) Annnnd finally: it's a toss up between Til' Kingdom Come, the Scientist, and Clocks all by Coldplay
Who uses a machete to cut through red tape
With fingernails that shine like justice
And a voice that is dark like tinted glass
