I went to their concert last night. I was at my girlfriend's house yesterday afternoon with Lexi and a baby that I am watching. She mentioned that Maroon 5 was playing that night. I had completely forgotten about the concert. The last concert I went to was Chicago when I was 17, and before that New Kids on the Block when I was 13. Pretty sad. Anyway, I mentioned that I had really wanted to go, but what do you do? My girlfriend says to me, "You go. I'll watch your kids!"
So, I did. I went home. Searched on craigslist. Called a lady and got tickets for less that they would be at the box office. Called my dh and told him we had a date. I got a coupon for a restaurant for dinner, mapped out the whole evening, and had a wonderful impromptu date with my husband. It was awesome! :mydoc: :dinner: I had crab spread, salad with strawberries, cinnamon almonds, and balsalmic vinagrette, and duck with mango chutney for dinner, along with a bottle of a sweet wine. http://www.gervine.com/menu.html This is where we went! I got drunk off the wine, an Alb de Cotnari. Fabulous. Love sweet wine that had 12% alcohol by volume. It's a wonder I made it to the concert. Dh drove.
The concert was great. I had such a fun time. It was great to be able to go out like that and plan that. I need to do that again soon. I really like all their songs, but I didn't know a lot of them before I went. I'll have to download their albums.
