Does anyone else love this show? I remember watching it when it was originally on TV in 1999 or so--that was when I had first moved to NY, and all my friends there loved it (they having been more freaks, me having been more geek). It was pretty promptly cancelled for low ratings.

My husband had never seen it (I didn't know him back then) but had heard enough good things about it from enough people that he was willing to Netflix it when they released the DVDs a little bit ago. We've been watching it and he loves it, too.

It's so funny but also just exquisitely painful at times. My theory is that you have to have had a bit of a hard time in high school in order to like it, but you also have to have gotten over it since then. Otherwise it would probably be too repulsive or too painful to watch.

I love Bill, and my favorite episodes are the one where Neal finds out the truth about his father, and the one where Nick moves in with Lindsay's family.
Married to a hematopathologist seven years out of training.
    Raising three girls, 11, 9, and 2.

“That was the thing about the world: it wasn't that things were harder than you thought they were going to be, it was that they were hard in ways that you didn't expect.”

Yeah, this was a pretty great show, such a tragedy that it only lasted one season.

And my favorite episode is the one where they play Dungeons and Dragons, but I'm a bit biased.

I don't think I saw Freaks and Geeks but I did watch undecided (they are related somehow, right?).

Yeah, Undecided was made by the same group of writers, headed by Judd Apatow (who more recently wrote and directed 40 Year Old Virgin) and Paul Feig (who has done some work on the US Office)
