    Mario Batali... is very greasy!

His father runs a shop in Seattle: http://www.salumicuredmeats.com/
My dad once brought us some of the stuff from the shop and it was to die for. Yum!

I also like this one ... but I have a hard time getting over the host. He's done some press on his severe OCD, and every time I see him I keep picturing him on his old show where he'd get 'slimed' all the time. It must have been so hard for him!

Anyway - he's perfectly functional as a host, but my mind always wanders to that.

Yeah same. I remember watching the old show "Double Dare." Poor guy.
It is interesting to see how foods are made. I especially like when they cover chocolate.

I also like unwrapped. It amazes me how some of the foods are made.

            Probably quite literally ...

Every time I've tried to watch Mario Batali I just worry he's going to have a heart attack right on set.

Barefoot Contessa stuff is actually pretty simple to make, it looks a lot more complicated than it really is, which is great because then everyone is impressed with my skills. I made a roasted duck last night and it was so easy, I couldn't believe how simple it was. Sorry Stella, but her recipe only has 4 steps in it and most of it doesn't involve me doing anything.

My new fav is Ham on the Street. That guy is funny and I like how he uses canned stuff and the microwave to do some cool things.

I love her books. I think the recipes are reliable and produce great results. And as Vishenka said, looks more complicated than it is. Her show though...don't like that as much. Good thing I don't get that channel.
