I was wondering where they got the children from....parents just gave up their children for this show? That's sooo crazy to me!

Re: The Baby Borrowers
I guess this is how they "protect" the kids. From the site:
all the while under 24-hour supervision by nannies and the real parents who are stationed next door, watching via monitor, and able to step in at any time.Angie

Re: The Baby Borrowers
How do they explain to their kids what they're about to do??
"Uh ... Mommy and Daddy want their 15 minutes of fame, and since we're uninteresting, we're going to get it by exploiting you, and putting you into the care of strangers for a week or so."

Re: The Baby Borrowers
I actually watched the premier the other night. OMG!!! I can't believe parents are doing that to their kids. And I can't believe that these stupid ass teenagers were actually upset when the parents scolded them for putting their needs above the babies.
I understand the concept of teaching more teenagers about how hard parenthood is but I prefer when it's done with crying and pooping toys instead.

Re: The Baby Borrowers
 I watched, and I didn't think it was THAT bad. I think, honestly, I would do it with my kids. You can watch the entire time and intervene when necessary. There were nannies right there, and it's only 3 days with the baby, the youngest of which was 6 months old, I think? I think it's a good lesson for teenagers to learn.Heidi, PA-S1 - wife to an orthopaedic surgeon, mom to Ryan, 17, and Alexia, 11.

Re: The Baby Borrowers
I TiVo'd it and I agree- it hasn't been that bad. I have to admit it's wierd seeing my house and neighborhood from the sky when they show aerial shots, and places that the kids and I hang out at, or the porch of a friend's house during an interview.
A friend and I were talking that if she had been thrown into a social experiment such as this she definitely would wait until she was much older to get married and have kids.Gas, and 4 kids
