    1. Heroes
    2. Pushing Daisies
    3. Dancing with the Stars
    4. Grey's Anatomy
    5. Survivor
    6. The Biggest Loser
    7. The Amazing Race

i can't come up with ten.

      i will be watching:

      ugly betty
      desperate housewives
      dirty jobs
      andrew zimmern
TLC, discovery, natGeo, travel channel, history channel...pretty much anything on those channels. sometimes i have to fight for control over the remote....dh likes the military channel.
      wife swap

i don't watch anything during the day...and if it's at 8 (ugly betty) i have to have dh help me out with kids/kitchen/baths/bed. he is really good about it, and i can usually escape to my bedroom to watch.

Re: Top 10 shows you'll watch this fall

I'm a TV junkie, so I'll probably have 10 pretty easy.

        1. Nip/Tuck
        2. The Biggest Loser
        3. Grey's Anatomy
        4. Dr 90210
        5. Survivor
        6. Desperate Housewives
        7. The Amazing Race
        8. Dancing w/ the Stars
        9. Private Practice
        10. Intervention

Luckily with the DVR, I can condense the time it takes to watch these shows by fast forwarding commercials. That just sounded like justification for the amount of TV I watch didn't it?

Not sure I can come up with ten, but here are the ones I would TIVO, if I had TIVO (which means, these are the ones I will watch if I can!):

          1. The Shield
          2. Rescue Me
          3. Damages
          4. Burn Notice
          5. Mad Men
          6. Nip/Tuck

I will probably start watching "Sons of Anarchy" with Katey Segal (made by F/X) if it's good (most of their dramas I really like, aside from that one with Courtney Cox--I forget the name).

LOVE LOVE LOVE all these shows!!! Does anyone else? I didn't see them (except Nip/Tuck) listed one any other responses... Maybe they aren't all that popular since they are all made-for-cable.

            I'm an HBO junkie
I'll watch the following assuming they have new episodes:

            Flight of the Conchords
            Big Love
            Curb Your Enthusiasm
            In Treatment
            Entourage
            Real Time w/Bill Maher

I'll also try to catch some of the programming on the cable channels Sylvia mentioned .

Re: Top 10 shows you'll watch this fall

I don't even know what's on this fall.

So, I guess I'll stick with Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bourdain's shows, random stuff on FoodTV, the occasional football game (for some reason i find them great to nap through).

I don't let Nikolai watch anything except PBS or his Thomas videos so there won't be much kid tv to have to deal with. (I hate kid tv even more than I hate grown-up tv)

I abhor "Reality" TV. Seriously, I'd rather cut my leg off. I like the shows on PBS but I can never remember what is on when. I just don't get that excited about it. I would really rather not even have one but my husband's head would explode. My parents didn't have a TV until I was five so maybe that has something to do with it.

              I guess I'm a freak.

Re: Top 10 shows you'll watch this fall

I'll keep watching The Daily Show and Colbert Report from time to time and 30 Rock when there are new episodes. My kids like Amazing Race so I'll watch that with them.

Abigail, there are some diehard Mad Men fanatics in my bookgroup. One woman suggested the show to her mother and her mom just couldn't watch it for two reasons. One, she used to smoke and seeing that much smoking about drove her crazy for a cigarette. Two, she couldn't stand the way women were treated and it reminded her of her early career in NYC around the same era. I haven't been sucked in...yet.

I want to catch that Flip show on Bravo is it?

                    Bones
                    CSI Miami
                    maybe House
                    maybe other CSIs randomly
maybe that new show with Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse or something?)

We watch a decent amount of TV, but not much consistently....we'll watch whatever we think we might like as we flip by. We do watch a bunch of PBS though!!

Re: Top 10 shows you'll watch this fall

In no particular order (or rather in the order I remember them):

                      Ugly Betty
                      Top Chef
                      ER
                      House
                      Grey's Anatomy
                      How I Met Your Mother
                      Two and a Half Men
                      Starter Wife
                      Boston Legal
                      Pushing Daisies
                      Desperate Housewives
                      Dirty Sexy Money
                      Lipstick Jungle
                      Scrubs
                      'Til Death

And there are a few others that I watch when there's nothing on or when I remember them. Wow, that looks like quite a list. I do DVR all of the them though and then fast forward through commercials, so it's not that much actual viewing time. Got to keep busy during call nights.

Re: Top 10 shows you'll watch this fall

ER....this show has paralleled DH's journey through training, etc. We will both be sad to see it go, although its glory days are certainly in the past
                        The Office
                        30 Rock
                        Lost
                        Law and Order SVU
(maybe Scrubs....I didn't realize it was still in production )
random episodes of SNL if I like who is hosting

We will DVR all of these and watch them the weekend following if we have time....we are either dealing with kids or asleep when these shows actually air.

Other than these, we really don't watch any tv regularly. I will check out HGTV or TV Land (love re-runs of the classics!) while I am sorting laundry, but nothing regular.

Oh I forgot to mention PBS..front line
austin city limits, antiques road show, the show alan alda hosts...This old house , ask this old house...I could go on and on.

I like PBS & HBO because they usually offer their programming on more than just one day or time. Le sigh, there's no way I could indulge in a regular sit down and watch time... I still can't believe we DON'T have a DVR / TiVo

don't feel bad- we're eligible for one but have never gone to pick it up from the cable company. TV sucks so much that i can't imagine that there would be anything that I would miss.

The season is over. There will probably be reruns (Bravo is famous for reruns), but there are no new episodes.

I can't wait for Pushing Daisies to return!!!

                              We watch:

                              Project Runway
Top Chef (if it's on - I have no idea when the new season starts)
                              Pushing Daisies
                              Law & Order SVU
                              Ace of Cakes
                              Iron Chef America

that's about it ... I think ... I might try 30 Rock this year - it seems funny.
