I've still got to get caught up on the 1st season, but I've read all of the books. Although they differ greatly, I'm a total fan!

We're fans! We are watching season 1 on Netflix. We don't have cable so it'll be a whilebefore we see season 2. But I've read books1-8 and Russ is on book 6. I'm waiting in book 9 from the library.

I'm totally on team Eric!!! From the books at least...I haven't seen enough if him in the show...

I don't like Tara's character on the show. And there are a couple of other deviations from the book that I also don't like. But overall we are enjoying it.

The song is by Jace Everett and is called "Bad Things.". I bought it on iTunes.

Davita is trying to get me to watch it. I started to go catch up via HBO On Demand, but they only have S2 on there .... will I know what is going on?? Is it worth bothering? I'm really not into the effort to rent S1 ...

You can usually rent the DVD from your library, but I am sure you could catch up even if you didn't. I love the show ad Erik is really growing on me. I am going to start reading the books soon. Oh and the opening song is a must on the Ipod!

Jenn, I think it's worth it to watch Season 1.....I haven't seen Season 2, but I've read the books and I don't think even reading the first book will give you everything because of the differences.

I like the books. BUt I don't think you need to read them to understand the show...especially since there are a few differences (that IMO affect the story line). If you want quick fun reads, then pick up the books. There are 9 written, 1 due out in May and then I think she's contracted to write a few more (it's been about a year between books).

Are you referring to the finale? I am pretty certain it was Eric and company that took him. But who knows, there might be a twist there.

There was an interview with Alan Ball....

                            http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/09/...ith-alan-ball/

                            I didn't see season 2.

Is there anything I’m forgetting to ask you?
                            BALL:
I’m surprised you didn’t ask who took Bill. Who took Bill?
                            BALL:
                            It was Hoyt’s mother.
My coworkers speculate though that it was orchestrated by SophieAnne and Eric.
