LOL! I'm DVR'ing it, but before I changed the channel and walked away, the first contestant introduced himself by saying "I originally went to medical school, studying neurosurgery, but then I decided that I needed a career I could be passionate about."

"Studying neurosurgery"? in medical school? I'd buy "intending to specialize" ... but, uh, I'm not buying it.

We're watching it too and DH went "umm, yeah - there is a reason he never went to residency" Can you imagine how his interviews would have gone? Would have loved to have been a fly on that wall.

Yes, that amused me too. He did make a pretty dress though. That Ari chick. . . WTF?

Oh My. I'm so glad they decided to get rid of ****SPOILER ALERT****

the actual batshit-crazy person on the first episode this time. Usually they keep 'em around for a few episodes for comic relief. I'm sooooo embarrassed that she's from KC. I mean, she really had to stink for the dude with the see-thru kaftan to hang on ...

I caught the elimination but noticed the repeat airs an hour later, so I set the DVR.

Yeah, that surprised me too. They usually eliminate the boring people first. Did anyone watch the 1/2 hour show about the Project Runway models after? I don't really care about the models and everyone knows that the model of the loosing designer is usually eliminated, but I watched it because it was cool to see Project Runway from a different perspective. (I admit it. I'm a junkie.) Seems to me that after the long court battle, Lifetime is going to milk PR for all it's worth.

About "All-Stars" - where is Laura? Where is Christian? :/ I thought FOR SURE Christian would be on (he was fan favorite, and won his season).

They were asked and declined, I wouldn't be surprised to find out.

Now that this is on Lifetime I can watch it! Yay! I thought Lindsay Lohan did a surprisingly good job. And I was surprised they didn't eliminate Qristal and her half-n-half dress.

I wonder how much med school Mr. "I went to medical school specializing in neurosurgery" completed. He was pretty punchable right at that moment.

I'm sure the Project Rungay guys will say something about Laura. They're friends with her.

As for Christian, I thought it was crappy that they allowed a previous winner to compete (but I hated Jeffrey).

I was really disappointed that Lifetime isn't showing this in HD.

                      Or am I missing something?

LOVE Project Runway! And I'm not ashamed to admit I watched all 3 and a half hours of it. lol Though, admittedly, it was a bit much even for me.

I thought following the models was part of the original intent of the show as well, so maybe the producers were able to bring it back with Lifetime.

I know Lifetime puts Army Wives online, off to see if PR is there as I missed the first episode... (I hope so - I have class Thursday nights this fall!)

They're doing maternity this week - how timely to our discussions about how much maternity clothes suck!
