I think this is one of the best shows in T.V. history. Dennis Leary is truly incredible and backed up by a host of equally exceptional acting, directing and writing. Why does it not get more attention?

I like it a lot too, though I often forget to turn it on as it comes on around 10 pm on Tuesday nights here. There was one episode that made me very uncomfortable though perhaps that's a testament to how good the acting is and how they push the envelope. For some reason, the episode where there was the lesbian domestic abuse (forgive me but I forget the characters' names), just turned my stomach. It was his [Dennis Leary's] buddy's widow with whom he had a relationship with sort of experimenting with homosexuality and finding an abusive partner in the process. I don't know but those abuse scenes were just very eerie and I've been a little less keen on tuning in after viewing that episode.
