  • Surviving twins and sextuplets

It was on TLC tonight- a really neat young couple with 5 year old twins and 16 month old sextuplets. She stays home with them during the week while he works, then she works a 16 hour shift every Saturday as a nurse while he stays with them. Wowsers, I just could not imagine life with 8 kids under 5. It come on again tonight I think.

I saw that and was amazed. I kinda got the impression that *maybe* her husband is a jerk....when it comes to her post baby body. Also, that she was trying to keep up a brave face when he would mention it. Did you get that vibe?(BTW, I thought she had a great body after what she had been thru)

All her kiddos were beautiful....and busy!

There was definitely some potential for marital issues. I know they have zero time for each other, but they dont seem to be making any effort for time together either. I was so surprised they didnt have any outside help. She seemed like the type who corrects her DH in every little thing he does, down to how many packets of oatmeal they get for breakfast, so I can see how he would be a little annoyed with her.

Thats true, she does seem to micro-manage EVERYTHING!
Best of luck to them....they're gonna need it

We saw this too. DH nearly had a heart attack through the first segment...the concept of multiples makes his throat swell up We both thought that she seemed very unhappy. The part when she freaked out because someone had runny poo diaper all over the crib really turned me off. I am not sure how she managed all this time with out getting a diarrhea crib and I can't figure out how it works with all of those kids and that is all it takes to throw her off. In fairness, holy shit they have eight kids and six of them are under the age of two!!! I would be medicated.

I thought they were just surviving how they could. It brought out the best of her control freak issues, and it made him all the more passive - "anything you say honey." At this point it definitely looks, to an outsider, that their marriage is bumpy, but geesh, would yours be crystal clear?

I can't imagine. I mean she did freak out a bit too much when the baby pooped all over the crib. However, she just struck me as one of those people trying to have it all together, and when the cameras caught her not having it all together, when she really had to come clean with all of that (the piles of stuff that weren't put away, her stomach, her schedule management to get on Martha Stewart, the diarrhea), it sent her over the edge. I mean she probably, as a huge control freak, felt like she was being graded for her daughter having diarrhea on national television.

            So hard.
