OMG DH is a huge Detroit fan ,he did his residenecy, fellowships and worked a couple of years there!
Now that we live in Phoenix, he is also a Suns fan!
These two series have flabbergasted him!
What team is your household into?

      Re: NBA Playoffs

I'm paying attention (but not watching every minute) to the Phoenix - San Anton series, the Detroit - Sixers series and the Boston - Atlanta series.

I think the conference finals will be very good matchups on both sides! (I'm hopeful anyway.)

      So that's me so far!

I'm cheering for Boston (huge Paul Pierce fan) and watching when I can but I really can't stand the NBA most of the time.

Laker -- I think the Redwings are just on a freakish roll this season. They are playing so well!!! (DH is a hockey fan.)

Although I'm a tad biased, I just don't see the Pistons getting past the Celtics. Time will tell though and the Celtics need to play MUCH better on the road to be a legit contender for the championship.

I predict Celtics/Lakers in the finals but maybe that's my 80s, old school love for the game talking.

                      Re: NBA Playoffs

Now the network gets to broadcast the finals.

I hope they do a better job than ESPN -- their guys BUG me!!!!

I love TNT but I see how they might not appeal to the masses of NBA fans who only tune into the finals. Charles and Kenny tell it like it is. Ernie is a great straight man.

Anyway, Lakers/Celtics -- a marketing dream. I picture David Stern giddy.
                      We'll see how they advertise.

It could be fun to see some of the roll players from the 80s teams....Jamal Wilks, Sam Vincent, etc. I had forgotten Rick Carlisle was on the 1986 Celtics team -- when they won it all. I hope they talk about DJ and what a good player he was.

But really, I haven't been thinking about this or anything.

I hope the Celtics clinch tonight for many reasons -- one being the announcers are HORRIBLE. Someone (or some team) needs to put them out of their misery.
