    Licking My Wounds

    Okay. The day started off great. 5 hours of cleaning with DW who is actually off. Then, enjoying the VA Tech loss to the Purple Pirates.

    But my 'Hoos. What a beatdown. I know it's USC...but...it still hurts.

    I've got to ask why the hell does Pete Carroll get to enter the field of play every %$#@ play? I know. I'm bitter and he's a great coach with an awesome team. But I can't help but get enraged when he enters the field of play to give a personal "attaboy" to one of six all-star running backs when the &*%$ scoreboard reads 45-7. I can't take it anymore.

    PS- My Alma Mater (Western Maryland College, now known as McDaniel College) doesn't have their opener until September 6 against St. Vincent College. Gotta love Division III football. There are better high school teams.

      KU won and set a new attendance record for their stadium. I have no illusions that we'll have as good of a season as we had last year but its still fun to see them not be at the bottom of the Big 12 anymore.

        My Spartans lost a squeaker to Cal...bummer. Not a good way to start the season...but at least Michigan lost as well.

            Two words: Rich Rodriguez.

            Otherwise, I have nothing against Michigan. I just think that Rodriguez was a jerk for the way he left WVU. Kind of like how Petrino left U of L for the Falcons. But he then got Michael Vick and that whole mess, so he got what was coming to him.

            And I am not a fan of WVU or U of L. Just suffering within the same league. And mourning the loss of my entire Labor Day. :bummer:
