I will preface this by saying we are not Twins fans but they got ROBBED last night. Mauer's hit down the 3rd field line in the 7th or 8th was FAIR not only because it landed fair but the fielder touched it fair before it bounced into the stands. If he had gotten to 2nd he would have scored that inning based on what later transpired and the Twins would have won without extra innings. Boooooo

ETA: sorry it was the 11th but the Twins still could have won.

We definitely got into the Rockies since moving here, but they sure didn't play like they deserved to be in the next round.

DH got a ticket to the Rockies-Phillies game on Sunday and very nearly froze to death while watching them lose.

I've been a Yankee fan my whole life - it's genetic, my dad's from New Jersey - so they get my attention now.

We have never been big sports ppl, but it is hard to live here and not at least get into the Rockies a bit...that being said - I am SO SORRY that you froze at the Sunday game...brrrrrr! I felt bad for everyone out there.

Woohoo - Phillies in the NLCS!!

Most of the NLDS series with the Rockies was a nail biter for us. Because of the time difference, I couldn't watch most of the games (stupid grad school). So I had to listen to them on the radio as I drove to and from class. I'm sure the people behind me must have thought I was crazy, with my arms flailing and whatnot, as the Phils rallied and won on Monday night. DF even had a slow night in the delivery room and was able to "watch" the game on Game Tracker.

The series with the Dodgers is gonna be tough. But we're totally looking forward to it. And thankfully, the series doesn't start in Philly because it's supposed to be rainy, cold and windy starting tomorrow through the weekend. Yuck!

Your dad must be from Northern NJ. Because that is where the Yankees and Mets fans are. They don't reside anywhere south of LBI. Southern NJ is Phillies territory!!

Heh, he's from Atlantic City - far enough south that he should be a Phillies fan. I think his dad came from NYC. This goes back generations.

I always thought it at least made more sense than being a Yankees fan from Nevada.

lol, then if his dad was from NYC, then it makes perfect sense that he's a Yankees fan. The love for a particular team is something that is definitely passed down from generation to generation. Although my family is all Phillies fans, my little brother likes to be contrary and is a self-proclaimed Red Sox fan.

And yes it does make more sense than being a Yankees fan from Nevada.

PHILLIES ARE IN THE WORLD SERIES!! Again!!!

I love me some Jayson Werth and Shane Victorino!!

Hope Manny is enjoying his post-game shower. Self-absorbed prick.

I'm going to enjoy this for about 24 hours until the reality of a Yankees-Phillies World Series sets in. Then I'm going to freak out. My Facebook is going to implode with the status updates. I will be seriously blocking the Facebook statuses of all of the Yankee fans I am friends with. Even my best friend and MOH.

It's gonna be a great World Series!!!

So Games 3, 4 and 5 are in Philly.

FYI: If they win, all hell will break loose. If they lose, there will be a LOT of grumpy people and some hell will break loose.
