Jayhawks lost, just barely, they had an awful first half. But they're still 5-1 and can still win the Big 12 North. OU is up next at 2:30 next Saturday - GO HAWKS!

I had a good time at the game. I had dinner with a good friend beforehand and saw several other friends during the game. It didn't really pour and it wasn't even windy (a lull in the nor'easter, I suppose). But damn was it cold for October!

I apologize to anyone who was watching the game because they needed a college football fix. It was awful. Well, our defense was decent, but the offense was absolutely inept. The QBs kept going on audibles from the sidelines, ugh.

And poor Sam Bradford. I just feel for him, especially since it appears that he has sustained the same injury as last time.

I really wish I had been home yesterday. All of the big games (Florida-Arkansas, USC-Notre Dame) looked like they were great, down-to-the-wire contests, based upon the highlights I saw on SportsCenter this morning.

The Gators just looked really inept until the very last drive. There were fumbles, turnovers, dropped passes and missed kicks. And they couldn't score when inside the 20. It seemed like the defense only knows how to slow someone down until Brandon Spikes can tackle him....and since Spikes was injured, it took an extra 10+ yards and 3+ guys to take someone down. They definitely did NOT look like a championship team.

We were really pulling for OU, and it was still a close game. Dh and I were wondering what happened this past week- Texas didn't play all that great and beat OU with only a 3 pt spread. By how Texas is ranked it should have been a 13 pt spread. Then OSU was beaten by Purdue.

I am surprised that BSU moved up one spot in the BCS based on their lackluster performance against Tulsa. They had a rough start, but in the end managed to pull through. I hope they keep doing well and make it into a bowl game as a non-BCS team.

I think it's because everyone is looking pretty weak this year!

Injuries, and team weak spots make for some pretty low profile college ball so far -- I hope that the injured heal, and that the weaknesses are just seen as areas to scout/improve on.

                      I <3 OU - I didn't think we'd stay in the top 25, either.

I ended up spending the whole weekend house hunting with high school friends of mine who are moving to this area (yay!). I forgot to dvr the USC-ND game, so I subsisted on text updates of score changes, which apparently made the game seem much less exciting (/terrifying) than it actually was. I just discovered that ND posts a highlight video on hulu, so I'll watch that today.
