National Champ Game--Bama v. Texas

I'm cheering for 'Bama, if only b/c my neighbor just wrote on FB that her son apparently owes some kid 8 million dollars if 'Bama doesn't win. Plus, I love At The Beach Heidi -- she's one of my faves.

Wish I was in Bama (cough*just for*cough) today for the party. Instead, our snowmen in the front yard are holding a Roll Tide sign for the neighbors to enjoy. hehe

I thoroughly enjoyed the game...suspense to the end. Gilbert did an incredible job under the circumstances, and at his age - 18!

Good thing for your neighbor's kid that Bama won. However, 8 million isn't too far off what the Bama coach will get for the BCS National Title win. If I recall, he will be paid 4 or 5 mil. for the win.

Once you're in the millions, the number 4 and 8 are pretty close, right? Either way, it's a lot of money.

i don't think you have to be a critic to say that you can take away from this bama team. They played like a great team, ut's defense played like the great defense they are - what was it, 5 sacks? Ut's offense did not, is it ok to put all your pressure on one player? No, but if mccoy had been in that game it would have been a different game - different outcome? We'll never know but to say alabama would have won either way is naive. Mccoy/shipley is one of the greatest qb/wr pairs in the country and once gilbert calmed down and was able to hit shipley they showed why shipley is as good as he is and will have a great nfl career. I'm not a ut fan, i'm not a bama fan - i'm a football fame and i think its shame for everyone that it wasn't a full force championship game on both sides - that is what everyone wanted to see but to say bama would have won either way is just like saying you're a mind reader, which none of us are.

I know! I totally cracked up. Her FB post said "CJ just told me if Alabama doesn't win he owes some kid 8 million dollars. I sure hope they bring it, I'd hate to see what happens when the kid can't pay!"
