  • Week 5

Getting my post in now, since it is Homecoming Weekend! DH and I are headed up once he gets done this afternoon and looking forward to it!!

We are playing Tulane, I don't know too much about them. Even though Homecoming is supposed to be a "guaranteed" win for the home team, I am not too certain with the way our offense is playing.

I am also curious to see what the mood has been like on campus this week. It has been a tough week for everyone there and everyone connected to the university.

    Oregon v. Stanford.

I'm doing my happy dance that we'll get to watch a PAC-10 game that matters.

OU v. Texas--Should be interesting. My UT-attending SIL is coming up for the weekend and I plan to give her hell

We've got a bye. May the BSC carnage be rampant and all highly ranked teams lose.

OMFG! I just watched the LSU Tenn game. Whoever called the player change for Tenn on that last play must be kicking himself! Crazy!

Holy balls. All of my teams won. Between Oregon (4) spanking Stanford (9), UW surprising the hell out of USC (19) with a late FG to win by one point, and Boise State (3) shutting out their opponent, this was a great night for my PAC-10 teams.

My Spartans put a nice beating on the #11 Badgers from Wisconsin. Fired up for our trip to Ann Arbor next weekend to witness a battle of unbeatens. Michigan State at Michigan. GO SPARTANS!

Glad to see Michigan State beat Wisconsin. Would have liked to see a few more big upsets. Florida looked absolutely awful next to Bama. I think, perhaps, Arkansas was underranked and Florida way overranked. Go Utes!

Well my gut feeling was right, we lost 17-14. There are a lot of pissed off fans today, including me. If this pattern is going to continue, I am not sure I can justify going to the remainder of the home games. I know it sounds like sour grapes, but driving 2+ hours, paying $$ to park far away and sitting in the cold/rain/wind/snow to watch a boring team that can't beat ANYONE is not worth it, IMO.

Maybe I will just spend the entire time at the tailgates, keeping warm by the fire and drinking rum spiked with apple cider, never setting foot inside that stadium.

Heh, that sounds like Notre Dame. There are around 200,000 people who tailgate at the school and only about 30,000 who have tickets to the game. We know people who go down there ONLY for the tailgating. Granted, it's ND and their fans are insane.
