That's true! Of all the teams- it stings less because of how far those Japanese women have come in the past four months.
I was thrilled to see how many people showed up to watch today, too. It wasn't as crowded as the men's World Cup but a pretty big crowd anyway. They filled the back room (it has a 19 foot screen back there) and the front was filled, too.

Yup! I watched all by myself. Dh left to get a massage and dd was napping. They missed a great game.
I think Japan had the psychological edge in sudden death. The US women had lost their lead twice at that point.
I actually like watching the women more--fewer fouls and more technical.married to an anesthesia attending
