Awesome Wedding Entrance

I guess I'm in the minority on this one. I thought that was really tacky. It is a wedding, after all. And it appeared to be happening in church (which means that it is supposed to be a sacrament or at least an importantly symbolic moment). I mean, to each their own, but I thought it reduced the ceremony to an exercise in silliness and immaturity. Save it for the funny moments at the reception.

I think it would be a funny reception entrance but it's inappropriate for a church. I can imagine the looks on my parents and grandparents faces, they'd be mortified, not that it would be allowed in a Catholic church.
I'm a firm believer in the wedding ceremony being a very special time and something that should be taken seriously. You can have all the fun you want afterwords. I wonder if this couple will look back on this when they're older and regret it.Student and Mom to an Oct 2013 boy

So funny! As the bride goes up the aisle you can see the stooped, silver-haired grandma standing and clapping to the music, too.
But I'll agree, never in a million years at any wedding ceremony of mine.Married to a hematopathologist seven years out of training.

I saw this earlier today and it made me all tearful (sue me, I'm pregnant). It was just so joyful. But I agree it is not sufficiently dignified for a church service. Maybe for a recessional but for the procesisonal it was just weird.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

i thought it was awesome. and when the bride came down, i had a big smile and a tear in my eye. i agree with laura...G-d wants us happy, and i think He has a sense of humor, too.
also, it's obviously not a catholic wedding, if the woman at the front is officiating.~shacked up with an ob/gyn~
