That reminds me of a story from my friend with the 3 kids. She and her husband were having an "intimate moment" and at some point she felt eyes staring at her. She looks over and standing in their doorway was their oldest- at the time about 5 years old. He was indignantly standing with his hands on his hips and said, quite angrily "I don't like it when you do that to Mommy, Daddy. ... It sounds sticky".

She said it completely killed the moment as they tried to acknowledge his anger, get him back to bed, and not completely fall on the floor laughing!

Oh Lord, I live in fear of a moment like that one. I have recently gotten very paranoid about making sure ALL the kids are asleep before we get "involved" in anything, and I want the door closed and locked, something I never even used to think about. My husband thinks I am nuts -- I should have him read that post! My kids already totally gross out when they see us kissing -- (of course, then we kiss longer ) I am sure they would be warped for life if they saw anything more.

It sure WOULD kill the mood, for at least a month where I was concerned!

I have to remember this when we get to that chapter in our lives. I can't imagine what I would do if that happened to us.

Yep--we've been "interrupted". It is very disturbing to say the least to see a two year old staring at you in horror--not only does it totally kill the mood but you spend days worrying what kind of psychological trauma you've caused!
