I am soooo thankful for Spring!! It is supposed to be close to 60 and sunny today. The snow is gone and now I can finish raking up the leaves from the fall!!

    Luanne...

I'm giddy with excitement about Spring. We spent almost every moment of the weekend outside hiking, playing, running, picnicking, etc. Maybe God made winter to make us grateful for the beauty of Spring. All I know is that life is looking a whole lot better all of the sudden.

We're pretty much done with Spring here- the Iris' and daffodils are memories, the lilacs are finishing and the RiverWalk smells like a perfume convention. It's amazing.

Of course, it's been upper 70's, low 80's a few tiems already and we all know what that means! I can't wait for the 80 degree days everyday!

I never realized Spring was a distinct "Season" until we moved up here.

I am enjoying spring as well -- I LOVE the bluebonnets in Texas, although I don't see as many of them up here as I did around San Antonio. The first time I saw a field full of them, with Indian Paintbrush interspersed, it took my breath away.

I loved spring in Indiana, too -- it was such a sight for sore eyes -- but often, we would have a cold spring or a late freeze and then all of the pretty blossoms and blooms would die before they were their prettiest.

Basically, I like it to be warm out by the time it is officially spring according to the calendar, which never happened until I moved to TX.

Today it was in the eighties and we all wore shorts. I loved it.

My tulips and hyacinths are coming up, my crocuses and snow glories have bloomed! I can hardly wait for them all to decorate the front flower beds! As much as I love the snow of winter, it's so nice to start seeing life again. I've got my nursery catalogs, picked out some perenniel seeds, and I'm ready to do more planting. Yes, spring is awesome!
