  • So depressing

My husband just told me that a couple of 4th years he knew from his school were on an away rotation driving from California to Colorado and got into a terrible car accident. I'm not sure of the details but I know they hit a guardrail and the girl sitting in the passenger seat died upon impact. Her boyfriend who was driving is in the hospital undergoing surgery. I don't know these people but somehow this has really upset me. I think of all they have done, and how young they are... I guess it starts to put things in perspective. In a way, it made me and my husband re-evaluate how we spend our time. Its strange how a tragedy like this make you appreciate life.

That is horrible--a similar story happened to my husband's friends a few months ago and even though I barely knew them, I cried for a couple of weeks. It is sad to think about all the things they will never get to do and experience...It does make you appreciate being alive, doesn't it?
