The K Bros had simultaneous pre-nap meltdowns today. K2 was sobbing "I'm. Not. Tir-ed!!!!" and stomping his feet in a public restroom. Then they got into a slap fight as I was loading them into the car. You know, they both want to get in first, K1 is taller so he just climbs over K2. Once they are both in the car, K2 grabs K1 by the collar and smacks him silly. I separate them, force K2 into his car seat, and once he's restrained, K1 comes over to smack his brother. Both boys were asleep before I left the parking lot.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

Why the fuck can't school districts share their information with the individual schools. Why the hell must I fill out the same information 14 times on 8 different sheets of paper for each kid? I can access the kids' Skyward accounts and know you have all the information there. Nothing has changed. Why do they need "updated info" that doesn't need an update because isn't different?
They're going to see a lot of "SAME AS ABOVE" when the forms ask for the same damn information multiple times on the same damn page. No, I will not keep writing it. Y'all asked for my address THREE TIMES ON ONE SHEET OF PAPER. You can figure it out for yourselves.
The sheer volume of paper wasted today makes me weep for the ecological impact.

Today is off to a good start. Picked the pup up at 7 (she did fine staying at the animal hospital overnight), grabbed my first pumpkin spice latte of the year on the way home (with a half pump of syrup, like someone suggested in a different thread), and now DS is playing music by himself while I check my email.

Today was day 2 (of what looks like is going to be 4) of staining the back deck. My hand is cramping like a mofo.
Today I purchased my first ever money order. I felt like an idiot because I had no idea how to get one but I realized this morning that I'm totally out of checks and needed to pay my rent. I texted the landlord asking where I could drop off cash instead and she basically called me ridiculous for wanting to pay cash and to go get a money order instead. *d'oh!* That never even occurred to me, lol.Wife of a surgical fellow; Mom to a busy toddler girl and 5 furballs (2 cats, 3 dogs)

Today I had oatmeal for breakfast instead of the egg with cheese on whole grain toast I've been eating for the last two weeks since my GD diagnosis - and my postprandial blood sugar was still in range! It was good after my hot dog and peanuts at the baseball game last night too. I think I took it a little bit too seriously at first, because my blood sugars have all been really low except fasting, and I think that will go down if I continue to eat more carbs so my body doesn't try to starve itself, and if I actually get off my butt and exercise more (will be easier when we no longer have a handyman showing up at the house at 7am every morning).Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer
