So right. I'm currently trying to work out how to NOT buy another pan for Thanksgiving. I cook mostly on antique cast iron and I absolutely refuse to buy some big teflon-y roasting pan that will only get used once a year. I'm thinking I'm going to put a $5 round cake rack into my largest high-sided cast iron skillet and roast a duck on that. Maybe someday when I'm cooking for more than 2 I'll give in, but not this year!

I love looking at those catalogs too, but then I look around my kitchen and realize I have everything I need.

We have Star Wars pancake shapes. Yes, I bought them at full price. DH loves them but we've used them only once. There's an IHOP just a few minutes from us.

"I have to believe this is the porn that Martha Stewart masturbates to, the kind where she pulls the 1000 thread count, infant slave laborer picked Egyptian cotton and Chinese orphaned superfluous daughter-spun silk cozy off her sperm whale ivory Rabbit Pearl and goes to town like a 12 year old with his first SI swimsuit issue."

i literally spit on myself when reading this one!

Pretty sure my chicken coop would not be gracing the pages of W-S anytime soon...

That was awesome! My favorite is the waffle batter dispenser. Not only does it not improve upon an ordinary measuring cup, it looks like a bitch to clean.

The $150 optional painted chicken on the coop was pretty sweet too.

On the chicken coop, dh said this "Hell, for $X, I built a nicer chicken coop and they have electricity, large area to run indoors, nesting boxes, stoops, and a nifty door." Yes, I tell dh if anesthesia ever goes to pot, that he should build chicken coops for a living.

I own the pancake pan...but in my defense, it was a gift...and I've never used it haha.

My entire kitchen was bought from WS...but almost all second hand from my mom (or gifts from her). She works for pottery barn and gets 40% off at WS...making it somewhat reasonably priced!

I always wanted the WS outside wood burning pizza oven. Is that unreasonable living in a high rise???

I have a friend who is a chef that writes lesson plans for the in-store classes, makes WS employee training videos, and writes WS cookbooks. She got the outside wood burning oven for her husband on his 50th birthday. FWIW, she serves cocktail weenies when she has parties and feeds her kid chicken nuggets on a regular basis. No pretentions about food or food prep in her kitchen.

We love our Ebelskiver pan and our 2.5 year-old requests them every.single weekend day that daddy is home. Probably our most used pan and I'm on the look out for a cast iron one (the current one is the non-stick from WS). But hey, to each their own.

I ran into cast iron ebelskiver pans constantly when I was searching antique stores in Minnesota for cast iron skillets. If you're ever in the Midwest, that's the place to find them!
