Ok, so this is kind of funny, and very NSFW and shocking, and also pretty true, though exaggerated for impact. Blowing up my facebook feed right now:

That is hysterical. And pathetic. And hysterically pathetic.

      And true.

Back in private practice, I had to REPEATEDLY tell lower level female associates that "Sorry!"--when used in a context other than a sincerely owed and meant apology--does nothing other than to make you look weak. Women use it all the time to mean: "Hey, jerkoff, speak up. When you mumble, I can't hear you and YOU need to repeat yourself..." or "Why are you idiots standing rudely in the middle of the doorframe in the common area that I need to pass through to, to get to my desk. So haul your fat butts out of the way" or "You are not making ANY sense at all and sound like a rambling, ignorant doofus. Please rephrase your comments in a way that are remotely intelligent..."

Why do we make ourselves weak?

I saw this a couple week ago - definitely funny and you're right...exaggerated but still, rings so true. I even do this with DH, it's like a reflex I can't help. He's always like "why can't you just take a compliment?"
