  • Q4!

    Here is my happy thought of the day. After Sean's intern year which consisted of 12 solid months of Q3 call, he is Q4 for four out of the 12 months this year! It is a small change, but we'll take it. Those extra few stolen moments will make a huge difference. Plus, he loves his current rotation so that makes the entire household a little cheerier.

    Congrats! It does make a difference! I know that in Thomas' IM residency each year there were progressively more outpatient months...1 the first year,2 the next, 3 the next....and it was unbelievable...it sure made it hard to go back to Q3 though!!!

      we are doing out patient this month so his hours are relatively normal--he also (I am very proud of him) led an effort to get the cardiology rotation changed to outpatient, as all the residents did was admit people anyway, there was very little learning going on
