  • THankful for the break..

I know it sounds like a weird thing to be thankful for...but Thomas was gone for 4 days...we've been struggling so much, and having him gone made me realize how much he does support me and honestly, how much he does around the house (don't ever let that get back to him! ).

I was really excited to pick him up at the airport last night...the happiest I've been to see him in a long time...and I think that the break from each other made us realize how important our relationship is.............so I am thankful for that!

Kris this is a great story! I completely believe in occasional independent travel and interests. It lets each individual develop so that they may bring more back to the relationship. This weekend, however, it is my dh's turn to go on a solo trip to Indianapolis for a wedding while I stay at home. Yikes! Even though it will be great for him to reconnect with his old college buddies, it will be hard to be the one who is left behind. Hopefully, this will inject a spirit of reconnection back into our relationship as well.
