  • Sweet Hubby

    Robin,

That does win hubby big points, doesn't it? You have to feel good that after all these years, "you're still the one" for him. Enjoy!

That is so sweet! I'd just be happy if my total anti-romantic husband left me a note that said "Hey you- I love you!"

What a nice gesture, Robin. Your husband is so nice. It is so nice to feel loved and appreciated by your spouse and be reminded of that every once in a while. My husband used to write me poems and long letters when we were first dating. I miss that.

Now I am just happy that he went Christmas shopping for me on his own for the first time. I can open gifts and not know what they are this year. I can't wait!

What a great thing to do!

Rick is a big sweetheart but not that great at showing it- although I did get roses for my 35th birthday. That was pretty cool.

Ooh Robin! How sweet! It is so nice when our husbands just do something sweet out of the blue, isn't it? Isn't it funny how we can give cards several times a month, etc. and they can give one card every six months - and that one card means the world? Keep up whatever you are doing!

Russ came home Monday night from being out of town and he put a card on my pillow. The words were so thoughtful and especially appropriate for us medical spouses so I thought I would share:

Because you are always there for me ...

To comfort me, To encourage me,

to tell me everything will be okay.

Because you always know just the right words to say,

            and to say them.

Because of the way you make me feel ...

whether I'm by your side, across the room,

or on the other end of the phone.

Because knowing you has made me a better person.

Because of these reasons, and so many more,

I love you. And always will.

Sigh ... Okay ... I think I can go on a little longer!
