  • i love my husband

two months of trauma isn't that bad. yeah, right. but i do love him dearly. he didn't do anything in particular - he is just being his natural self and making me feel that he would be home if it were up to him. he thanked me for being so "nice" over the last few weeks as he spent almost every waking hour here studying for the exam.

    Claudia--

I'm glad that test is over too. Did all residents have to take this test, or was it just for surgery? My poor dh was cramming the few hours that he was at home too.

I'll join in on the "I love my hubby because...." conversation because he has this characteristic that makes my toes curl when I see it. He is so tender with our son. I love the way that this big man-surgeon never hesitates to kiss, hug, and say "I love you" to our son in a baby-talk voice in front of the whole wide world. He plays right along when our son brings us his babydoll or plays in his toy kitchen: "Does baby Pete (the baby doll) need to go potty?" "Can you make Daddy more sphagetti please?"

Of course, all of this is tempered with a healthy dose of watching hockey and playing with a wooden train set, but I love the way that he embraces all sides of our son's emerging personality. <sigh> I think I'll keep him.
