oh how utterly cool!

i think that i actually have an almost friend here! it's amazing, isn't it? i have started attending a small group at our church and we have met 2 times now - most of the couples are older but that's OK! they will have wise words for us! one of the ladies just emailed to invite us to attend a spaghetti dinner at church with them as their guests! this not only provides an opportunity for friendship but saves us $10!!

i hope i didn't come off as pathetic as i feel sometimes! my hub hasn't been able to attend both weeks - so i think they all feel sorry for me!

This is great news. See, it just takes awhile to meet people.



Kind of on the same lines, Sean and I joined the young married couples monthly dinner group at the church that we've been attending here but he hasn't been able to make it in three months and now I just feel silly about going.



For what it is worth, I LOVE having friends/mentors who are older as they give me great perspective on where I am and where I'm going.

Awesome, Claudia...you know, it always takes time....I have also recently started getting together with a nice friend here....it is such a nice feeling to develop a "real life" again, isn't it!!!
