Freedom of religion - separation of church and state. Not being ostracized for our beliefs. I'm so afraid we are going to have a repeat of the racisim our country had during ww2.

-American optimism is contagious. The people of this country always believe that anything is possible and make it happen.

-Our rich heritage of fundamental human rights and civil liberties

      -economic independence

      -democracy

      -freedom

-the interdependence of States and the Federal Government in our uniquely Federalist system of law.

        * The concept that nothing is impossible- which allowed us to invent the car, put a man on the moon, develop cures for horrible diseases, and build buildings like the WTC.

        * The look of awe on every kids face during the 4th of July fireworks

        * The fact that we have had peaceful transfers of power for the last 225 years- even when it was a messed up as last years elections.

--The ability to get kicked in the teeth and come out stronger, unified and ready to kick back even stronger instead of lying in the dirt crying because we got kicked!

--Seeing American Muslim waving American flags on national TV and having that reminder that freedom of religion is alive and well... and that it isn't all Muslims that hate America

--A military system built not on hate and fear, but on the prinicple of defending what is good and just--- and those that are ready and willing to be a part of that military system. Thank you all you military folks!!!
