  • What is the strangest place you've ever found something...

    that you lost?

I have meant to post this question for awhile....because...

I had recently lost one of the diamond stud earrings that Thomas had given to me as a gift. I had looked everywhere and really just gave up....then a couple of weeks later, I was giving our upstairs bathroom a thorough cleaning (yes, I said 2 weeks) and you'll never believe where I found the earring!!!!

It was perched underneath the toilet seat....but hadn't fallen into the bowl

What are the chances of that happening!!!!!

    Anyone else?

Well- my post call husband has done some really funny things-

I opened the cereal cabinet and found the half gallon of milk sitting there.

He lost his car keys (he ALWAYS loses his car keys) and I finally found them in the drawer with the dog leash. I guess he took off Petey's leash and threw his keys in the drawer with it!

I find parts of rotting lunches in his office quite frequently- he forgets to empty out his bags and it's really disgusting- which is why I no longer 'share' the office!

I couldn't find my car keys after we went home to my parents- I finally remembered that as the cab was pulling up to the house to take us to the airport (at 4am) I quickly ran and put them in a drawer of the bedside table. Why? I have no idea!!

Ahhhh! I have a good one:

Jon lost his glasses and couldn't find them for weeks (luckily he has a really weak prescription and does just fine without them if need be). Well, he finally found them: they were stuffed in the vacuum cleaner bag. It seems our precious three year old daughters decided that was a perfect "hiding spot" for what they call "treasure".
