  • a little bit black, but...

    U2 played here last week, so it seemed a good time to share what happened at another of their concerts...

    =========================================

    At a U2 concert in Glasgow, Bono asked the audience
    for some quiet.

    Then in the silence, he started to slowly and hypnotically clap his
    hands, the audience listening and waiting.

    At last, in a quiet and meaningful tone, he spoke into the microphone. "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies".

    A voice from near the front pierced the silence with,
    "Well, stop f***ing doing it then!"

    A very logical response

    (not to make light of the situation)

      Did that really happen? I love the Aussies. Of course, the work Bono is doing is wonderful and meaningful - but people are at a rock concert for God's sake. I'm sure there were plenty of things there to buy that would benefit the cause.
