  • Hello

I am the wife of an ER Dr and am so very happy to have found this site. We have been out in the"real" world for about 8 years. I am retired because if
I worked I would never see my husband. As in most of our lives there is no week-ends or holidays so I must grab my time with him as I can. It will be nice to have a safe place to vent/share the difficulties and joys one has as a dr's wife. I look forward to getting to know all of you

Welcome, I'm glad you found us. I am even more happy to have someone else here that has college age kids!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have made my day. I am Luanne, we live in NJ. I have been an RN for a long time, ER and Endoscopy. In 5 weeks I will finish graduate school and prepare for Boards for Advenced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner. My husband is a Pulmonologist/Critical Care Doc. We have four kids, two in college, one out of college, and one going back to college. WELCOME!

Welcome aboard! I'm married to an attending as well - and constantly guilty of complaining about post training life. :> It's better than residency, but it's still "special". I'm glad you found the site. I look forward to getting to know your story.

Glad that you found this site. I cannot count the number of times I've felt validated by reading posts from others who share this "special" lifestyle. It is also a source of hope because just when you think you cannot take it anymore, someone else has already been there and made it through.

                  Welcome! :stars:
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!
