Well, actually 2, so far.
By way of introduction, I'm a mid-thirties spouse-of-6-years (together for about 11) of a soon-to-be-med-student.
He applied to a couple schools last year (just the ones close to home), and I joined this forum then, but felt myself getting really bitter about the fact that he didn't get in, while I was reading stuff from people whose spouses did, so I stopped reading. But now he will definitely be starting in July or August, so I'm back for a little support as we take this scary step.
His acceptances so far are in Ohio; he's got an interview with our most local school this week, but unless they also offer him a full ride (like both Ohio schools have, yay!), he won't be staying here.
If there's anyone else in my situation (older, been together a long time, but spouse just starting med school), I'd love to know about it; I'm finding it's a little difficult to relate to the new-relationship/early-20's crowd, nice as y'all are. I'm definitely looking forward to learning from all of you who've been through all this already, too.
