                  Hi!

Just wanted to do my part to throw out a friendly public service announcement to not think about surgery as "family friendly".

Right, and to further elaborate. Surgery programs that claim to be family friendly are like infomercials that sell products who promise to suck the fat right out of your thighs with no change in diet or exercise on your part. I don't know that there is truly a "family friendly" area in medicine, but surgery and all its subspecialties aint it.

I am in a "family-friendly" surgical residency program, after all. No shit. They sold it to us as such.
