At least, I'm an Oregonian in my mind, despite our current location. *sigh*.

Re: Hi from Oregon!
Thanks everyone for your warm welcomes!
I just experienced a disappointing moment, and thought I'd vent and get it off my chest. My DH and I are celebrating a one-year anniversary today (the day we met, the day our lives changed forever!), and I brought him lunch to the hospital. He was supposed to be done operating by 12pm. He came rushing downstairs in full surgery garb (he looks so cute in his pediatric cap with Spongebob all over it!), and told me he was in between cases (had an emergency add-on) and only had 3 minutes to eat while his patient was being put under. I watched him hoover his food in less than 90 seconds, give me a quick kiss and a hug, then go blasting back off to the OR. *sigh* Such is the life, I know. I'm still getting used to all of the paging, emergencies, last-minute schedule changes, etc. However, getting to see him for those 3 minutes in the middle of my day was sooooo worth it! And I know that his patients love him and he is doing amazing work. I'm very proud of him.
And I can't wait to get to know all of you!!!
