  • Hey all you fellow Medical Spouses!!

Just wanted to introduce myself, since I am new to this site. I'm glad there is a site......it's a great idea whoever came up with it!

Anyways, my fiance is in his First year of residency and we've relocated to a new city and state....I'm honestly so proud of my fiance for how hard he tries to make time for me....i've heard nasty rumors, and he's done such a wonderful job at making time.
The only complaint I have is finding a job in our new town....I had the ideal job in our old city, but things change and life goes on...but I'm broke and singing the blues....I need a job!

Welcome! We're originally from Alabama; but now we're a long way from home. Which residency is your DH doing?

I'm newly married to a first-year resident, and we just moved to a brand-new city as well. I'm a musician working at home right now, but I'm looking for part-time work as well... so I feel your pain!

It's wonderful that your fiancé makes it a priority to make time for you! My DH is good about that too, but he really has to fight through the sleep deprivation. This month he's doing a ward rotation, with 24-hr shifts every 4 days. Talk about teh suck! (I'm dreading the month where it's every 3 days...) But next month he's doing peds ER -- 9-hour shifts, no call, woo hoo! So it really varies from one month to the next.
