Hello again...It's been a long time since I last wrote, so I thought I would introduce myself again.
My husband is FINALLY an transitional intern (whew!) at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. He will do his intern year here and then we move across the Mississippi River to Rochester, MN where he will finish up his last 4 years as a radiology resident. Before moving here in June, we had quite a crazy life. DH started his residency the last week of June, and our first baby was due to be born on July 4th. We moved from Buffalo NY all the way here to La Crosse AND in addition to all this, I didn't have insurance that would cover my baby's delivery until July 1st. After our moving van FINALLY arrived a whole week later after we moved in (actually on July 4th!) we got our house all settled and comfortable. Our little baby decided he would wait to be born a whole 10 days later than he was supposed to, which was just perfect, because I was able to put every box away and have a perfectly clean home for him to come home to.
Our familes decided they need to come stay with us to "help out" from 2 days after DS was born all the way until the middle of August....that's right...the ENTIRE TIME...a month and a half of family!! It wasn't so bad, I suppose. They cooked dinner for us and did all of the laundry (even my brother helped out!) so I couldn't complain TOO much.
So, everything turned out to be great in the end. Life is great. Our son is now 4 months old and just perfect. AND DH is actually enjoying being an intern. He loves this hospital and the people here are just AMAZING!!
Now that life is slowing down, and I am able to enjoy my new life as a SAHM I am able to check out this amazing site again.
