        Re: Hello!

Well, it's official. He got a one year medical retina spot at Duke. We're very excited, even though it isn't exactly what he wanted. He's really pumped up about it. So, we'll be in Durham for at least a year. He could elect to stay there for another year instead of doing the match for a surgical position. He's really just got to decide if he wants to do medical or surgical retina.

Are there any Durham folks here? I need info on parts of town to live in or to avoid living in and on preschools and Parent's Day Out programs--pronto. Those programs usually register in January or February, so I've got to get that fiugred out right away. I think we are going to look for a rental house instead of buying. We saw quite a few online this weekend, but without knowing anything about town, we're hesitant to make any calls.

I'd appreciate any help that anyone is willing to give.

What a relief to have a direction!

Thanks for all your positive thoughts and well wishes!
