I have recently met a number of burned out physicians (angry/disruptive...) and have found a limited amount of support for the other half in the relationship. I am considering starting a retreat for them AND\OR their significant others. is there an interest in that? at what cost? one week or more/less? does it matter if insurance covers it? I really appreciate your input, thanks dl

Hmmm
I would definitely suggest less than a week since they don't get that much time off! Also, in my case anyway, I doubt I could get my husband to go for that long. However, I could see myself going to a seminar or workshop (maybe a day long) where I could interact with other spouses.Awake is the new sleep!

Daniel,
It is definitely time that these issues are addressed! Sadly, Jenn is right. We are all dealing with limited resources of time and money. Please let us know if we can help you brainstorm!

Daniel,
I think you have a great idea. It is definitely something I am interested in. I do agree with Sue, a day long workshop would work out to start with. You can always extend the length of days for future workshops after you get feedback from your first one. If you need any tips or assistance in brainstorming, please feel free to contact me. I wish you the best.
