Hello from SAHM convinced the training phase will NEVER END

Just found this site and am about in tears, laughing at your signatures and crying bc I finally found people who understand!

DH is just finishing his last couple months of Ob/Gyn residency, and in July he'll start a perinatology fellowship. He loves his job, I'm proud of him, and I think he should go for it. But this seems like it's dragging on forever!

We're moving in July. This will be our fifth move in the last decade, and we have one more to go after fellowship. (For anyone calculating, our med school splits the clinical rotation years of med school between two cities. That accounts for one of the moves, at least.)

I used to work at the med school editing research papers & submitting them for publication - loved it! We did IVF, got twins, and I became a SAHM. Ten months later, our 3rd baby was on the way! Surprise!

So I'm spending my days now throwing up, cleaning up plant soil from the pot that my toddlers keep pulling off the shelf, packing boxes, searching online to find mom's groups in our new city, trying to remember the next night that DH will be home, and making a mental checklist of things we'll finally buy "when..."

I'm so glad to find this site. Thanks for building it! I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome, we are spread all over the place so there may be members in your new city. My DH and I went through infertility too although we didn't have to go all the way to IVF. This is a great site.

We're from KS, moving to NM for fellowship. No big cities, but it would be fun if there happened to be someone on here from NM! DH has contracts to move back to KS after fellowship, so this is home.

DH did a maternal fetal medicine rotation in MN and loved it. He wanted to move there for all the winter sports. But the MN MFM program is fairly new, and he liked Albuquerque's MFM program a little better. And there's skiing in the NM mountains, too!

How old are your twins? Sorry I haven't done the math....

Trying to remember all the questions...

My sister lives in Phoenix, so I wish I were going there, too!

The twins are 12.5 months old. There will be 19 months difference between them and the next one. It's always reassuring to hear from other twin moms who are still sane enough to type a coherent post.
