  • Hallo!

Sorry, I neglected to introduce myself, how rude!

I'm a SAHD, my wife is doing her prelim year in medicine before a neuro residency. Our daughter is almost a year old. Before we got married I did a PhD and a three year postdoc, and worked in a bunch of different fields, but now I spend my time with more important pursuits

I saw this site many months ago, but only really investigated a short time ago. Pleased to meet you all.

Nice to meet you, too! I am Sally, a SAHM to three boys, aged 7, 4, and 1. My husband has been done with residency for a little over a year and is now an OB/GYN with the Air Force. We will get out in 2005, and we are waiting to see if we will be moving this summer, something we would welcome. We are currently living in north Texas (AKA no man's land) but are originally from the midwest and would like to head back that direction.
I have been with my husband through all of his training, so I can relate to most of the issues others are going through. I am really enjoying reading the male perspective on things! I look forward to getting to know you better as you post.

      Welcome!

Not at ALL! Welcome to the group. I am absolutely in awe of stay-at-home dads! I've heard that prelim years can be really tough.....since your wife won't be staying on as an IM resident, she's probably getting some extra scutwork thrown at her!

      Come and vent anytime!!!!

            Welcome

            Hi-

I welcomed you in a previous post, but thought to extend a more formal welcome note. Happy to have you with us.

Glad to hear that your wife is a Neuro resident. My BF (4th yr med student) is hoping to go into Neuro too, so I may pick your brain here & there on this topic.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you better.

            Take care
