  • Hi from a NJ surg res wife and mom

I guess I am joining this group at a time when I think think I most need the support of others in this same crazy situation.

My name is Judith I am the SAHM mom of 4yo and 11mo boys. My DH is in his 3rd year of surgical residency and he really loves it. We have been married for 12 years now, and my DH was the greatest husband until med school and and OK husband and daddy during med school. And now he is a surgical resident and thats it! well maybe its not all that bad but it feels like it tonight.

I guess we suffer the same problems that most everyone here does - Lack of $$ and time

Im just glad to find a place where others know exactly what Im going through

      Judith,

Hello from another third year gen surgery resident wife with a two year old. All I can say is I've had nights like that too! Let's chat more below.

          Hi everyone,
Thanks for responding to my post. I was looking through the different boards and was wondering where to post a message. I do wish there there was a section for surg residents or extended residencies. Alot of issues are compounded by the lenght of the tourture
my husband said something that really summed it up "the light at the end of the tunnel is a train barreling toward you"
